Verizon to add location warning sticker to phones

Few days back I have published a post about iPhone location tracking issue. .

Verizon Wireless has taken some initiative to handle this issue.

Verizon is planning  to place peel-off stickers on the phones it sells to warn the customers that their devices may be tracking their location, depending on the settings they choose for their phones.

Sample Sticker

The Sticker will have below information.

"This device is capable of determining its (and your) physical, geographical location and can associate this location data with other customer information. To limit access to location information by others, refer to the User Guide for Location settings and be cautious when downloading, accessing or using applications and services"

Do you think that these stickers will be the solution for the location tracking related privacy issues? You can share your thoughts thro' the comments. And, Read the most viewed Gadget News.
