India’s Saina Nehwal wins Bronze Medal in Badminton



India's Saina Nehwal won bronze Medal in women's badminton singles at London 2012 Olympics.

Saina Nehwal was declared winner in the play-off match as her Chinese opponent Wang Xin retired hurt.

Saina became the first Indian to win an Olympics medal in the badminton event.




This is India's third medal in the London 2012 Olympics after Gagan Narang won the bronze in the 10m Air Rifle event and Vijay Kumar got the silver medal in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol event.




Saina Nehwal is awarded with Padma Shri, Arjuna Award, and  Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.

Saina, you are the first one to breach the chinese wall. It is a matter of time before you achieve the collapse of the mighty wall. You really did India proud today. Once you get a grip on the unforced errors, I am sure it will be a all new shuttle game
