Google Doodles - Google's Way of promoting Olympics, HTML5 and Google products.

Google is showing one new Doodle everyday starting from the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.

We can refer the list of Doodles shown by Google for the London 2012 Olympics.

First Eleven Doodle were Static images, and the recent Doodles are interactive animated Doodles.

Google Doodle becomes the trending topic in many Social Media Sites especially in Twitter once after Google starts showing interactive animated Doodles which allow the users to play the interesting games on Google homepage itself.

For example, the Hurdles Doodle allows the users to get scores by making the player in the Doodle to run/jump the Hurdles race using space bar and Left/Right Arrows keys.

You can play it here.

Similarly the BaseketBall Doodle is also attracting the people to spend their time on Google website.

You can play it now.

And, Slalom Canoe is also interactive animation Doodle.

Basically these interactive Doodles attract lot of people to use Google Search Engine.

And, on clicking the Doodle image Google will search results for the related things. For example, if we click on Javelin Doodle image, Google will show the search results for "London 2012 Javelin". And, Google has special results page for showing Olympics matches and current medal table.

The animated Doodles will work only on HTML5 supported web browsers, the other browsers will see only static images.

i-e If you see this in "Internet explorer", you won't see the animated doodle. i-e you can't play the game. So, most of IE users will be encouraged to use HTML5 supported browsers such as Google Chrome.

And, Google is encouraging the users to share the Doodle on their Google+ page. I think it will help Google to promote Google+.
