Martha Graham is most notable for being a famous American dancer and choreographer and the foremost pioneer of modern dance.
She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In 1998, Time Magazine listed her as the “Dancer of the Century,” and as one of the most important people of the 20th century.
She died on April 1, 1991 at the age of 96.
